Grandfather of Mira Datar - Aap ke Dada
Saiyed Ali's grandfather, Saiyed Ilmuddin, moved to a village in Lukhnow with his father, Muhammad Daurain (R.A.) from Bukhara, Uzbekistan (India).
During those days, a large number of Buzurg (learned preachers) from Bukhara travelled to India to preach Islam. Many Muslims in those days were not on the right track; they were doing all types of sins that were increasing day by day. KUTBE ALAM was dispatched from Bukhara to Gujarat by his uncle to preach Islam. Kutbe Alam was his paternal uncle at the time. They are from the same family, and they travelled from district to district, village to village, demonstrating ALLAH's path (subhana tala). After demise of Ilmuddin's father he came to Ahmadabad of Gujrat where he met Kutbe Alam and that time the king of Ahmedabad was Ahmed Shah.
Kutbe Alam was ecstatic to meet Ilmuddin, and he brought him to King Ahmed Shah, who offered him a position as Commander in Chief in his army by letter (sipesalar). Ilmuddin was a devout Muslim. He led all of his companions towards the road of ALLAH, the One and Only. The talimat of Muhammad's Sunnah demonstrates this (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam). So many troops converted to Christianity (Mureed). Iman ki roshni main log mala mal ho gaye.
His Father
Hazrat Saiyed Ilmuddin's son, Saiyed Dost Muhammed, married Aisha Bibi, sister of Sabe Burhani, who is known as Jannati maa or Rasti Amma. She was a devout and righteous woman. She is from a Sufi family. Walis and Auliyas were her closest maternal and paternal relatives. Dost Muhammad was a fearless and brave swordsman. King Ahmad Shah admired him greatly because he was a successful fighter as well. He lived at Kanpur where a son was born to him and he named him "Abu Muhammad"
Birth of Saiyed Ali
HAZRAT SAIYED ALI MIRA DATAR was born sometime during the month of Ramzan. His birthplace was Saiyedwada of Ahmadabad KANPUR, and his face was glistening with spiritual lightning (noor). He was a wali from the start. When King Ahmad shah was three years old, he gave his father, Dost Muhammad, orders to put down the uprising and decoits in Patangaon. In ancient days, Unava was known as Lilapure. Lilapure was the only way to go to Patangao, and he had to cross Lilapur if he wanted to get to Patangaon, so he built a residence there. Everyone lived happily once he completed his job effectively. During this time Mevason was also won by Abu Muhammad.

Childhood Miracles :- BACHPAN KE KARAMAT
Saiyed Ali's miracle began when he was a child (bachpan). He was crying for milk, and Dama amma wrapped her arms around him, appealing to ALLAH Subhana Taala that if I had milk, I would have fed him. The moment she prayed, it was accepted in ALLAH Subhana Taala's Darbar, and she received milk. Everyone was taken aback when they saw her lovingly feeding him. They were certain that ALLAH Subhana Taala was behind it. Dost Muhammad, his father, then married her.
