Battle Of Madavgad

Mazar Of Mehmood Begda

Battle of Madavgad: tale of Mehmood Begda & Muhammad Lodhi

After Ahmed Shah's death, his son Mehmood Begda ascended to the throne at a young age. Mehmood Begda was a courageous and powerful king. He was renowned as Begda because he conquered several forts and palaces.

Muhammad Lodhi was the king of Delhi at the time. When he was younger, someone came to his court and told him about Madavgad Village. It is located in Madhya Pradesh's Dhar district, with a 70-kilometer border and 12 tiny villages surrounding it. He told him about the monarch of that particular territory. Tyrant, Rude, and Cruel, he erected a massive idol in the village's centre. People are enslaved and killed on a regular basis, and the bloodshed is used to appease the deity. Black Magic, Tantrik Vidya, Witchcraft, and Evil Spirits were his favourites, and he believed they might make him immortal.

That guy approached Muhammad Lodhi and requested his assistance in removing the Tyrant king from power and rescuing thousands of people from his grasp. Muhammad Lodhi stated that Muhammad Begda is a brave king of Ahmedabad who can easily conquer Madavgad and liberate all of the people from his clutches, therefore Muhammad Lodhi sent a message to Mahmood Begda, requesting that he assist the people of Madavgad and assault Madavgad.

When King Mahmood Begda received the complaint, he became enraged and vowed to attack as quickly as possible. He dispatched a message to Unava, requesting that Dost Muhammad (Saiyed Ali's father) come to Ahmedabad with 250 horse-riding warriors.

Thousands of soldiers prepared to attack Madavgad. The fight lasted several years, but Mehmood Begda was unable to take the fort. He tried several times to attack, but it was in vain.

Mehmood Begda was in a bad mood. He called out to ALLAH Subhana Taala, pleading for His assistance and mercy. After that, someone stated that among his army, there is a man named Saiyed Ilmuddin, and his grandson is Saiyed Ali, and that only Saiyed Ali can help the king win this fort.

Marraige ceremony of Saiyed Ali

Marriage preparations for Saiyed Ali, who was only eighteen years old, were underway in Unava. When the call to war was received by his family, they did not inform him. However, he learned that he had been summoned by his grandfather.

He replied to his grandfather Ilmuddin's call. He requested his Brother and Mother for permission to join his Grandfather in the battlefield. His Mother was initially hesitant to allow him because she was aware of the outcome, but he persuaded her by stating, "I am Saiyed." Aal -e- Rasool Aal -e- Rasool Aal -e- Rasool Aal -e- Rasool Aal -e- Rasool Aal -e- Rasool Aal -e- Rasool A So, as it is ALLAH Subhana tala's wish, please enable me to enter the battle. I will, inshallh, win this battle. Finally, permission was granted.

Miswaak Tree

The Victory of His Holiness in battle and becoming Wali (Friend of Allah)

( Miswaak Tree )

On ALLAH Subhana Taala's request, Saiyed Ali began his journey toward the Battlefield. When he arrived at the Pond of Unava, he used Miswak and then buried it near the pond.

Some passers-by noticed this and asked Saiyed Ali why he did it. He replied that if he is slain in the battle of Madavgad, his body should be buried here.

People inquired as to how they would learn that he had been martyred. Saiyed Ali said that when he is martyred, this small miswaak tree will grow into a large Miswaak Tree.

After that, Saiyed Ali made wazu and prayed to ALLAH Subhana Taala, after which he reasoned in his heart that if he obtained Shahadat (to die in ALLAH Subhana Taala's manner), he should be buried exclusively here.

As he arrived, a great strom (aandhi) furious wind blew everything away, except one tent in which Saiyed Ali was reading Quran with his grand father Ilmuddin. Seeing this miracle, Mehmud Begda was certain that Saiyed Ali had reached Madavgad that he is a sure Wali (Friend of ALLAH).

He began his attack with only 125 soldiers; there was a river on the route that miraculously gave him way, and they arrived at Madavgad near Kokada Koh. He took note of Madavgad's fort. It was eighteen feet high, therefore Saiyed Ali prayed to ALLAH and his horse leapt over it to enter the fort; the horse's footprints can still be seen today. Once inside, he dug a tunnel from the inside of the Fort to assist his army of 125 soldiers in entering the fort.

Many of the king's warriors were horrified when they saw SaIyed Ali's face and fled to the king, complaining that they couldn't battle him. Hearing this, the King became enraged and ordered that all of his kingdom's Magicians and Tantriks join the war offensive at the same moment. They tried their hardest, but they couldn't stand up against Saiyed Ali.

There was a ferocious and fierce war going on, and there was blood everywhere. There was blood, there were injured people, and there were corpses. Saiyed Ali was unstoppable.
